Artist BiographyLorraine Sanders started her journey as an artist when she moved from New York to Arizona in 1972 with her young family. While adjusting to her new life in the Southwest, she went to an art class with a new friend and discovered her passion for painting.
Lorraine studied for 10 years with renowned Southwest oil artist, Joni Falk, who encouraged her to open her vistas and helped to transform her hobby into a passion. |
Today, Lorraine's paintings capture the beauty of the Southwest landscape, as well as the European landscapes, Indian culture, wild life and people. In recent years she has studied with well-known artist, teacher and mentor, Eddie Lopez. His teachings have broadened Lorraine's abilities to paint portraits. She enjoys painting from a favorite photo of a family member, your pet or a favorite place you have visited.
Lorraine is a juried member of the Scottsdale Artist League and the Arizona Art Alliance. She has clients all over the world and welcomes commissioned work.
